I had breakfast outside this morning with the sun high overhead in an extraordinarily blue sky. Fresh strawberries from the garden, warm brown bread from the oven and a big pot of tea! Bliss. Yes I’m trying to whet your appetite for our Summer School.

We have a great line up  of speakers- see  details on our web- but this morning I just want to tell you that this Summer School is going to be different.

No name badges, no bottled water ,no little dishes of mints. What we will have though,  is great speakers, great debates, great coffee and great food, most of it foraged. Our newly renovated barn is full of light, lovely wood and looks out on our rose and water garden. There will be plenty of time to chill out on huge wooden seats, hopefully under blue skies like today. If the weather is  lovely we will move outside  under the giant beech trees and discuss food, foraging and   meet up with like minded people and have some  relaxing time together in the Blackstairs.

August is a wonderful time for foraging and for learning what is safe to eat and to discover where to find the most delicious, secret , incredible edibles for you to  savour and  cook up.

Our venue can cater for 40 plus people so this will not be a great big impersonal conference type event. In fact it’s not a conference but  a gathering of like minded people listening to great speakers, foraging, cooking up and exchanging stories together under the  Blackstairs.

Booking is now open on line and we look forward to  seeing you in August.
