An information day on this incredible pilgrimage route.
Next Saturday we are hosting our inaugural Walk the Camino Day. Lots of people who walk with us are interested in walking the Camino and have asked us for tips and advice, so we decided to share out experience of walking the incredible road to Santiago de Compostela. Robert and I have walked the route from St. John Pied de Port and we have been back to Span several times to walk this wonderful pilgrimage route with its rich history, great architecture, rural towns and villages, cities landscape and the amazing people we met along the way. It doesn’t matter how long you take to walk it. It is your Camino and whether you walk it quickly or slowly or somewhere in between this is an extraordinary experience. Simply putting one foot in front of the other day after day and walking through diverse landscape and eating great Spanish food and meeting incredible pilgrims along the way, is all part of this journey
Tips for what to bring and not to bring. How heavy should your rucksack be? We’ll tell you.! Routes, Maps, places to stay and places not to stay.Boots, shoes, runner? We’ll tell you!
On the day we will also hike through green lanes and small country roads for approx 3 1/2 hours – just like the Camino, with your full rucksack – which we will check before we walk! Then back to a typical Pilgrim Meal with wine.
Vamonos! Let’s Go!
