Blackstairs Ecotrails is a small, family run, sustainable Eco Tourism business and we are delighted to share with you our recent very welcome publicity for our business. We were so privileged to be included in the Fab 50 Best Places to stay in Ireland by Pol O Conghaile of the Irish Independent Travel section. This was followed by a little piece in the RTE Guide on our Foraging workshops and comfy Shepherds Huts and when we launched our Digital Detox, Star Gazing experience for our guests who stay with us ,it was also picked up by The Irish Independent. We also found ourselves in the Top 20 Best Eco Glamping list.
All we want to do is to ensure that our guests relax and enjoy their stay with us and a big thank you to those guests who gave us a high score of 9.8 on Booking . com. Without our gusts we would have no business! It is a very busy world out there and many people are stressed, working very hard trying to juggle family and work. The cost of living is high and many dream of escaping to a lifestyle in the country, where the pace is slower, the commute less arduous and the beauty of the countryside more endearing than city scapes.
At Blackstairs Ecotrails we foster slow walking, star gazing, stays in our Huts, Foraging and Fungi workshops and relaxing Team Building Events and Celtic Tree Trails. Our unique Foraging Hen Parties offer our guests relaxing foraging fun, coupled with a champagne brunch. All our events are Eco related and involve our amazing wild life and biodiversity. Our planet is fragile and we are trying to create a sustainable green space on our land. Where the air is clean, the water unpolluted and the food organic. We have planted 10,000 Oak trees to increase our wild life here and our latest family addition is an Electric Vehicle and we have a charge point exclusively for guests use.
We are not 100 % sustainable but we are working towards eliminating single use plastic, cutting down as much waste as possible, shopping locally and holding onto our Gold Accreditation from Eco Tourism Ireland! Our land is free from pesticides, chemicals and all artificial inputs so that guests know, that in this small corner of South Carlow we are protecting wild life and trying hard to make our home and business a warm, welcoming and holistic venue for our guests and for our family.
Come and visit us sometime soon.
