Blackstairs Eco Trails takes groups, schoolchildren, tourists, visitors from abroad, retired groups, in fact, anybody who would like to know more about the extraordinary but ordinary biodiversity of the Blackstairs. Why do bumble bees hover in the soft summer wind at the top of Tom Duff Hill? Why do butterflies love a certain lane in South Carlow? Is it the warm stone walls or the sheltered ,soft mossy environment of the lane?

SUMMER HIKES

We also go on hikes in the Blackstairs to  lonely valleys, high bogs and wild, wild places. If you would like to go hiking  just email or call us and we can arrange a great day out in the hills. We provide a simple packed lunch and afterwards back to the Old Rectory for a welcome cup of tea or coffee. You won’t get lost but you will go wild.
